Default losing with AA

Last time I depent on my pocket cards from the start. AA is dangerous.
Sometimes allin is better. A poker lesson learned the hard way.

The key to playing Aces is knowing your opponents! You need to bet accordingly to encourage 1-2 callers but enough that your not going to be seen by half the table. The worst thing you can do in a cash game is over bet your big starters like AA and KK as you get these hands on average 1 in every 124 hands dealt and need to make them pay!

Yes AA is dangerous especially going up against a few players in a hand. Allin is definitely the best choice considering you have the best starting hand. Why not put your tourney life or whatever chips you have with the best hand.

I personally believe AA is not a dangerouse hand if you know how to play it well. If you are late to act and have a few limpers behind you, you have to raise heavily to deter most of them. Against one opponent your AA stands an 85% chance of winning but against 2 opponents your winning odds drop to only 60%.

Key is to compete against as few players as possible, and read the flop well. If you have AA and the flop is 3 diamonds and your opponent goes all in, you may want to consider folding.

I agree its all about the odds. If you played it well and still lost you should grit your teeth and pat yourself on the back.

no way , read this !!!!
"Poker games must be organised within scores of talented poker players, whether in the online poker or the home game, often think up interesting changes to established for Poker games and also whole new approach to the general area of regular poker games alongside online poker games. These are called wild because most of them have relatively complicated rules and the use of (what is commonly refered to) as wild cards. These so called -Wild cards- are cards which are designed to be able to take on the value of any other card for the purpose of making stronger hands. They are generally much more unpredictable than the normal poker game operations and hence they are wild.
There are so many wild poker games in play that we can't go through them but we can show the ways players have livened up their poker games.
Jokers The most basic way to juice up a game is to play with a deck that has two extra cards, Jokers. A joker can become any card in your hand and therefore increase the number of chances you have of making a hand. Nowadays this is considered crass and would not generally be played by experienced players.
Wild Cards Instead of using the old fashioned Jokers, players now nominate a card or cards that become wild. For instance Deuces Wild is popular for draw poker games. Basically any deuce (a two) in a hand can be used as any other card. A pair of twos would be very strong because they are both wild.
Pairs Here the wild cards are any pair, trips (three of a kind) or quads (four of a kind). Sometimes poker games using this form of wild cards raise the best possible high hand to Five of a Kind. For example 2-2-2-2-Ace is Five Aces. So is 3-3-3-A-A.
Any Card Any one card can be wild.
Nominated Hand Choose only one type of hand to make. For example Pair Flush means any pairs, trips or quads are wild and the top hand is A-K-Q-J-T suited (not counting as a Royal flush).
Colours Hands must be made entirely from either red or black cards, hence this is sometimes called Red or Black. Various rules may apply here, for instance in 7-card stud you must have at least five of one colour to qualify, failure means you have no hand and lose.

Combining one of more of these rule variations into a game can really create a whole new way of playing poker. Purists will argue that it is not poker but private poker games want a friendly way to participate in a game of friends and the wild variations are a great leveller of skill. There is also fun to be had in bringing new ideas into the school. "

its Soomthing I once wrote in a friends site.
