Nah, you see players doing it on ESPN but that's mainly for the cameras. Chips tricks are mainly used to disguise stress when you're bluffing or staking a lt.

Also it's used to draw attention away from your facial expressions so you don't give away your tells. And it gives you something to do while you're waiting for your turn.

You're wrong Gimpe, the tricks give you a LOT of credibility on the tables. having good trick means you've been playing and practicing for a long time.

I was playing in a real no-limit poker game at a casino in the East Coast of Canada and several guys at the table where playing with their chips. I have to admit I was a little thrown off my game. So in saying that my opinion is if you haven't been around the tables long chip tricks can be a little intimidating! However lesson learned and now I no long concern myself with the intimidation of chip tricks!

It hurts to remember beats. I follow simple strategy never remember loss it can be a hurdle in playing.
